LOVE Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rosemarie DeWitt, Mamie Gummer, Carla Gugino, Ron Livingston, Chris Messina, Zachary Quinto, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Jennifer Westfedlt are set to perform in LOVE, to be held on April 19 at The Angel Orensanz Foundation. This evening of short plays on love will benefit WET Productions. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.

In addition to the performance, producer Lynda Obst will receive the first annual "We Empower Together Award," which honors a woman in the media whose accomplishments have paved the way for other women to succeed. Nora Ephron will present the honor. An additional award will be given to HBO vice president Maria Zuckerman, recognizing her achievements in producing groundbreaking female-driven projects.

WET Productions is a non-profit created to empower women and girls by producing media that challenges female stereotypes and advocates for equality.

"Sucker Punch" is one of those movies that might not be on your radar, but it should. Zack Snyder, the director of "300," "Watchmen" and the "Dawn of the Dead" remake, is finally turning his attention -- and his talent for what makes stylish film -- to an original story. That story is "Sucker Punch."

We don't know much. A young girl is committed to an insane asylum by her jerk stepdad and she slips into an elaborate fantasy world of her own creation to deal with it. MTV's Josh Horowitz spoke with Carla Gugino, who stars with Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone, Jon Hamm, Michael Jai White and a large ensemble of other talented players, at South By Southwest over the weekend, and she had a little bit to say about her unusual character. "I play a Polish psychiatrist in the 1960s," she said. Well that's not very strange. "And in an alternate world I play a dominatrix choreographer-slash-madame in a brothel," she added. Oh. Well... yeah. That's pretty out there.

"She's an amazing character," Gugino continued, "and I'm so excited about that movie and I've had such an amazing time shooting it... in Vancouver."

While she wouldn't say much more than that, the actress did respond to a rumor he's heard that "Sucker Punch" will feature a musical element. "I've been told I'm not really supposed to say much about it, but yes. That's all I can say. Yes, there's some singing and dancing."

They say the stars shine bright in Texas, but nothing was shining quite as brilliantly as the stars of "Elektra Luxx" at the film's SXSW premiere. Carla Gugino, Malin Akerman and Emmanuelle Chriqui joined director Sebastian Gutierrez for the event at 2010 SXSW Film Festival.

"Elektra Luxx" is the sequel to Gutierrez's 2009 film, "Women In Trouble." The plot of this film continues the story of the titular porn star (Gugino) who discovers she is pregnant and how her life becomes intertwined with other individuals who are in a state of personal crisis.

Earlier in the day, the director and cast of "Elektra Luxx" stopped by the IFC Crossroads House to enjoy the amenities, play with the photo booth and chat with IFC News host Matt Singer in a live webcast from our studio.

Good news for Silk Spectre fans: Director Zack Snyder will reunite with Watchmen star Carla Gugino in a drama about a crazy girl who imagines an alternate reality to escape her problems.

The film, titled Sucker Punch, casts Gugino as an insane asylum nurse who materializes in the girl’s imagination as a brothel madame, Variety reports.

Earlier this year Gugino played retired sexy crimefighter Silk Spectre (pictured), aka Sally Jupiter, in Snyder’s big-screen adaptation of Watchmen. She’s also served as muse to Robert Rodriguez, appearing in the director’s clean-cut Spy Kids before taking on the role of a lesbian parole officer in Sin City. Next year, she will star as a pregnant porn actress in Elektra Luxx.

Sucker Punch, which also features Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone and Abbie Cornish, begins filming in the fall.

The 37-year-old star of the Spy Kids movies told Moves magazine she is embracing the experience and self-confidence that come with getting older.

Carla said: "It is bizarre, certainly in Hollywood, when you hit 23, people start to ask you, 'How does it feel to get older?' It is absolutely surreal because, as a woman, when you hit your 30s it's just the beginning of owning yourself and being in your own body."

The actress also reveals a friend of hers was told by a dermatologist: "Your face is very expressive - let me know if you want me to do something about that."

Sparks - The film stars Carla Gugino and Eric Stolz, is an adaptation of an Elmore Leonard short story about a seductive failed rock star who may or may not have burned her own house down.

Following its UK premiere in London, it has gone across the country. I have just been to see it and its good fun! Great to take the kids to see too.

A brand new international trailer of "Race to Witch Mountain" has been unraveled. Posted by Teaser Trailer, this video footage brings a different introduction to the movie. While the earlier released teaser gives background story about the Witch Mountain itself, this trailer opens with a scene in a command center where authorities are made busy with an unknown object descending fast towards the Earth.

A thrilling action-adventure from Walt Disney Pictures, the adventure fantasy follows a hard luck Las Vegas cab driver named Jack Bruno . When one day two teenagers hop into his cab, Bruno has no idea that he is about to get the adventure of a lifetime as the two kids are no ordinary teenagers and they have to race back to the Witch Mountain before their ruthless enemies get to them.

Variety reports Carla will be the last point in the romantic love triangle called Every Day.
